Forgotten Fighter Girls: Red Snake

  After a long time,  we are finally returning to my commission line from Bad-Pierrot, Forgotten Fighter Girls. This time we are going to another obscure title that I didn't know existed until I was exposed to it, Martial Masters.

   During the time I was born, I was too young to be a hardened arcade veteran as opposed to my Gen X counterparts, I was busy hunting down Primal Rage, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Killer Instinct and other mainstream titles that were out in that period. By the time 1999 came around, I was too caught up in the console wars at the time and missed out on this hidden arcade gem, Martial Masters. 
   Developed by IGS and published by Andamiro, Martial Masters was Taiwan's answer to Street Fighter III which had taken over arcades across the world at the time. While it was praised for its fluid animation, graphics, and gameplay being on par with Capcom's standards, the game was unfortunately only ever known by the hardcore fighting game community, something I wasn't really a part of during that time. Nonetheless, I am very grateful to have been exposed to this game when I was and like many other games on this list, wish there were a chance for it to return. With the background info out of the way, let's get to the ticklee of this Qing Dynasty set fighter, Red Snake. 

   Red Snake is the heiress to one of the richest families in Canton. Red Snake has an arranged marriage with Scorpion(not MK Scorp though that would be kinda cute), something she is not very happy about. She has a tendency to act on impulse and has a rebellious streak, something Scorpion finds unbearable. Given the fact that MM's Scorpion is a womanizing lowlife whose used to women melting in his hands, the tension is very obvious. Red Snake is a master of snake style kung-fu hence her name. And in spite being from a wealthy family that could provide her with limitless amounts of clothing, Red prefers to go on her journeys barefoot rather than wearing travel shoes like her other female counterparts in MM.
   Besides design, the backstory on Red Snake really brought me in as it seemed like a pretty fresh idea for a fighting game female character. While the quest for vengeance for a family member, tournament prize money to pay off some sort of debt or bailout, trying to chase a love interest, following the orders of an employer for whatever plot elements, and similar tropes have been used time and time again for female fighters, Red Snake stood out as being the runaway bride who fights for fun and to satisfy her need to rebel. Not too many characters to my knowledge have ever had a backstory like this in which the motivations were that of pure self-fulfillment in opposition to things set against the character. That to me makes for a much more interesting story with a lot more potential for Red Snake to either be forever a vagabond or settling down with someone she chooses on her own terms that she deems worthy of her affection. If her game had gone on to be a huge franchise like Street Fighter, I am sure we would have gotten to learn more about her and had fun with her on her barefooted misadventures. 
   You've probably skimmed through the bulk of this description to get to the part you are really here for. Fear not dear viewer, I have a tale for this entry as well. I had quite a few ideas for this but I think the one I am about to present is the most fitting for the lighthearted nature of the image. 


   Red Snake had decided to cut through the forest during her travels in hopes of getting to her next destination sooner and to cut off the lead any of her family's retainers had on her whereabouts. This decision proved to be near fatal as the young woman prepared to cross a ravine in the forest. Slipping on some wet moss while preparing to jump, Red Snake began to plummet towards the rocky bottom below. Closing her eyes expecting her end, a cold, dry tendril of some sort lashed out around her ankle in time to catch her and slowly lower her to a similar feeling organism below that breaks her fall. Red Snake opened her eyes to see that a snake tail had coiled around her ankle and had lowered her down into a den of vipers. The brood had come out to sun themselves for the day when Red Snake fell and thankfully heard her shrieks of terror as she fell. 
   As the snake that caught her released her leg, the rest of the brood began to swarm around her. While most would fear for their lives at this moment, Red Snake felt intrigued by the vipers and even spread her legs for them as if offering her body to them. The vipers began to coil around her legs and ankles locking them in place. Meanwhile a third viper began to constrict her upperbody preventing her from struggling yet Red was still not frightened by this. The two vipers trapping her ankles gazed upon the travel hardened yet somehow still looked as soft as silk. Without any sense of hesitation or warning, the two vipers began to flicker their tongues against her soles. 
   Red Snake let out a ticklish shriek but not in discomfort. Quite the opposite, Red Snake found herself enjoying the ticklish sensations as the vipers began to lick at her toes. The vipers had struck at a very secret and guilty pleasure of Red's; her secret desire to have her feet worshiped and tickled. It was her secret fantasy, one she knew Scorpion would never provide her with, and even if it was by vipers, Red Snake loved the sensation all the same. 
   Red Snake soon broke into a giggling fit as the res of the den began to gather to have their turn at her. Pampering her feet was rewarded with pets and kisses in between her laughter. After a solid hour of this, the vipers lead Red Snake to an outcrop in the ravine that would allow her to leave. After bowing in gratitude to her saviors and newfound panderers, Red Snake took a mental note of where these vipers dwelled for the next time she felt the urge to have her feet played with.
